Old Musingi entertainment center

This is what the entertainment center currently looks like at Musingi's. We are headed up this week to install the entertainment center we have been building for the last several months in my shop. Most of the cases are being hauled flat and unassembled. The computer cabinet will be hauled in two pieces. There are pictures of it in earlier posts. We'll see if the new entertainment center is better than the old. I hear Mike is just chomping at the bit to take the old one apart. I'll bet there is a big bon fire in Idaho this week!!

Sister's week in Phoenix

Spent this last week in Phoenix area with my sisters, Pat and Jan. Went to several Chicago Cubs games. Top left is Surprise, Arizona and top right is Phoenix, Ariz. Several different stadiums in town. Went to five different ball games at five different ball parks.

The week started out cold and rainy, even some hail, but it warmed up every day. The last two days, it was 90+. Shopped at quilt stores for Pat and wood/tool stores for Jan and I. A successful week included a stop at UPS to ship our "stuff" home.

Made it to a Phoenix Suns basketball game and two NCAA mens basketball games too.

Ate way too much food and stayed up way to late, but had a blast with my sisters.

Computer Cabinet

This is the computer cabinet, that will be part of the entertainment center. Working on getting the doors done for the EC. The doors will be pocket doors, which means when opened, they will slide back in to the cabinet so they don't obstruct the view of the TV, which will be next to the computer cabinet. On the bottom left is the slide out tray for the printer and on the right is the place for the computer tower. The case is oak veneer plywood and the doors are knotty alder. No oil yet, just lots of saw dust.
