Grandkids in town

A few months ago, Jacob and Becca moved to Vernal for a job promotion.  The kids were in town this weekend and we spent some time together.

Saturday we went to a Bee's baseball game.  Met Derrick and Mariah for dinner and we all went to the ball game.  Luckily the rain held off during the game and we had a great time.

Bailey and Jacob with the famed Dip N' Dots.

                                                                          Becca and Davis.

Zoey and Buzz.

                                                         Parker and his Dad Derrick.

Kyra the gymnast!!

This past weekend, Kyra competed in a gymnastics meet.  She did really well.  Took first in floor exercise and first on the beam.  This girl loves to tumble, dance and be active!!  Good job Kyra!!

And of course, shop time!!!

Now that the summit is over and I am back home again, got to spend some time in the shop.  Finished the construction boards and then started cleaning up the shop.  I try and clean things  up good and put stuff away after each project.  It helps keep the shop organized.

My sister sent me some pill bottles they had used to store stuff in the shop.  One of the challenges with the shop is trying to find stuff when you need, especially the little stuff.  A while ago, I built a cart and put shelves on it to store some storage trays to keep screws, nuts, hardware, etc.

Got this little shelf together for the little things and hung it on the back of my hardware cart.  It works pretty good.

And I can see the little things.

6th Annual Public Safety Summit, done!!!

Part of my current work responsibilities include planning a conference for the Governor's Office.  We held the conference last week in Davis County.  It takes almost a year in the planning.  We had 500 people attend, 60+ presenters, the Governor and Lt. Governor both showed up and we had an awesome keynote speaker, Gordon Graham present.

One of the presentations was the Utah National Guard explaining their new Medevac program.  They brought in a Blackhawk helicopter and landed it next to the conference center.  Lots of paperwork and lots of pre flight issues we had to settle, but it was so cool to see it land.  So loud!!

Construction Boards finished

Got the construction boards finished this weekend and one is being shipped by UPS to it's final destination.

Behind the door in the middle is a mirror so the little one's can see themselves.  Had a lot of fun putting this together.

One is going to my niece in New York, one to my sister's house in Idaho and one in my basement.
