This is a walnut night stand I made in a furniture building class I took at Salt Lake Community College. The coopered door has about 11 pieces of walnut, cut about 1 1/2 inches wide, cut with an angle on the long edges, so when glued together, it creates the curved door panel. After lots of landing and planing, the glued up seams can't be seen. The drawer is bent lamination. It has about 9 pieces of wood glued together over a form and put in a vacuum bag to let the drawer front glue and maintain the shape. The legs have compound cuts and then lots of sanding to give the nice shape and smooth finish. The night stand is in Cristal's house. Finished with Watco Danish oil. Lots of fun.
