On the same trip to Boise for Mike's swearing in, we took the doors and tools for Lisa's lockers.
We put baseboards on, crown moulding on, installed 14 doors - with handles and they are done.
I was not happy with the way the crown moulding went on and I ran out of wood, so we will have to go back to redo the crown moulding. Crown moulding is one of those challenges for me. You have to cut it upside down and backwards and I have a jig to do it, but it is always so confusing. By the pictures, it is hard to tell the mistakes on the crown moulding, "BUT I KNOW"!! Another trip.

Thanksgiving 2015
We had Thanksgiving planned for the Saturday before, November 21 for all the kids. Myka was scheduled for Driver's Ed and finished up her driving time in the car on that Saturday, so Musingi's came down Thanksgiving morning and we played for the weekend.
We went to Jordan River Temple and did baptisms. Scott took Myles and they did some "bonding" while we were at the Temple.
What is Thanksgiving weekend without a trip down town to see the Christmas lights and window displays.

A Duck House - A Duck House??????
One of the Laurel's in my YW group has ducks for pets. She asked me if I could help her build a duck house for her ducks to be protected from the winter weather.
Camille sent me several pictures of "possible" duck houses. We decided on this one for ease of building and probably the most efficient.
This is the frame of the house, made out of 2 x 4"s. We put 1/4" plywood on the sides and the back and then put 2 inch foam insulation on the inside for warmth.
We also put a hole in the back, up at the top for Camille to put a light bulb in to help keep the ducks warm.
So we put the duck house behind the fence, on the east side of the house, in a fenced in area so the ducks will be well protected during the winter weather.
So after a few days, I get a picture and a text from Camille.
All the tests says, "Fresh poop. That's a good sign."
Got to love it!!!
And what is a duck house, without the residents??

Reorganizing the garage
We have bought tables and chairs to have for family parties. We had a great place to store the tables in the basement, but we only used them in the garage when we would set up for big parties. We moved the tables upstairs to the garage a few months ago.
This past weekend, we got the chairs moved up to the garage. Brought some heavy duty hooks and attached them to the walls in the garage and stored all 38 chairs in the garage.
It will be a whole lot easier with the holidays coming up to use the tables and chairs for parties.

Meet Musingi's in Brigham City
October 23 and 24, we met Musingi's in Brigham City for dinner at Maddox's and then stayed in Brigham City for the night. The kids swam and swam at the motel. We went miniature golfing and bowling.
What is dinner at Maddox without a few pictures to harass my sisters??? Mmmmm the dinner rolls were outstanding!!!!
Bowling was alot of fun. It was the girls against the guys. Since there were only 3 guys and 4 girls, we added the highest score twice to the boys score and the girls still won!!

Mellus's and Jazz game
On Friday, October 16, we took Parker and Zoey to a Jazz scrimmage. We met Mariah downtown at the Delta Center.
We had fun watching the Jazz and even got a visit from the Jazz Mini Bear. We walked over to City Creek Center and looked around a bit too.

Fun Filled Weekend in Idaho Falls Sept. 24-26, 2015
Went to Idaho Falls for the weekend. Cristal and kids had lots going on. Thursday night Kyra was testing for her Taekwondo. She is getting close to her Black Belt. She does so well and gained so much confidence.
Friday we went up to Rexburg to do a session at the temple. Always fun to do family names of people we have found doing family history research.
Back to the scene of the crime!! While in Rexburg, we looked around Rick's College Campus. Jan and I went to Rick's right after high school. We lived in the dorms, just north of the Student Center. We ate our meals in the cafeteria. The entrance to the dorms looks a bit different. Same buildings we lived in. Man, they must be old!!!
Of course, what is a trip to Rexburg, without hitting Me and Stans for lunch. They have the best scones. Oh man, did we enjoy those!! Scones and honey butter were the best.
Friday night, Myka's choir class sang the National Anthem at the high school football game. That was the highlight of the night!! The football team lost something like 35-7. Myka did awesome. Beautiful Idaho Falls sunset.
Saturday morning Kyra had volleyball games. That was a lot of fun to watch. Kyra is the main setter and she did an outstanding job. So fun to watch the kids do things.

Headboard repair
One of my neighbors called needing some help with a headboard. She was getting ready to sell the headboard, so she had it outside to measure it and the wind blew it over and broke it. She wanted to know if it could be saved?
Took the top of the headboard off, pulled all the floating panels out.
Had to glue some of the panels and other pieces back together and then put it all back together.
Looks almost good as new. Used some wood filler and had to put more oil on the headboard to clean it up a bit. Stabalized the back of the headboard a bit, so it would stay together and returned the headboard. Kind of a nice change of pace from the doors that I have been working on for Lisa's lockers. One of the doors is in the background of the picture below. Had to do 14 doors for the lockers.
