18 Doors!!

Spent a good part of the weekend working on doors for the Musingi entertainment center.  I "thought" I had to make 18 doors.  Saturday night around midnight I got to thinking I made some mistakes on doors.  One door, that covers the surround sound speaker is supposed to have speaker cloth instead of wood.  Yep, I have to do that door over again.  I totally spaced off doing the doors for the electronics cabinet, so I have to build those doors.  They will have glass, so I need to build the frames and then take them to a glass shop to get glass cut for them.  At least I don't have to do those two doors over again, I totally forgot to build those doors.

I set up quite the assembly system in the shop to do the doors.  I had already cut the rails and stiles for the doors and put the rabbits in them for the door panels, so I set up a place to do the dominoes to glue the parts together.  Then I had to cut the panels to fit the door, then put oil on the panels, let those dry, then glue the doors together and clamp them.  I wanted to leave them in the clamps for about an hour, so I could glue up two at a time, let them sit and then go back and get two more doors ready to glue up.

The process took most of Friday and Saturday, but most everything is still set up, so I can do the additional 3 doors this week.

Need to sand and put oil on the doors, then the hinges and then The Great Install, #2.
