Been a little busy lately getting the family room downstairs painted. Have just about everything on the entertainment center completed except the crown moulding. Need to get the ceiling painted around the EC before we install the crown moulding.
The handles are on, the lights are in. Just need to get the glass shelves in the end case and the crown moulding and we will be done.
The ceiling has two coats of paint and almost done with the first coat of the walls. The baseboards and the door frames have a new coat of paint as well.
Once I get done with the crown moulding, there will be lots of vacuuming and dusting to do down stairs, but it is looking good.
Also been watching the Provo Temple rebuild/remodel. All four corner points are on the temple, as well as the large one in the middle. There is scaffolding almost around half of the temple and it looks like they are sanding and refinishing the bricks on the outside walls. Lots of dust coming from the scaffolding area.
This picture is taken looking west, and it does not look like the fourth and last peak is on the temple in this picture, but there are five peaks on the temple now. There are also crews doing the roof of the temple. Steep footwork there!!

Doors are oiled and installed, Lights installed and working
Got all the doors sanded and oiled. They were installed last weekend.
Also got the lights installed in the tops of all the cabinets on the left side. Probably one of the scariest things to do on the entertainment center. During construction of the cases, I drilled holes in the tops where I wanted the lights to go. Then I ran string from that hole to the back of one of the cabinets closest to the outlet.
When it came time to install the lights, I had to install the brackets in the top cases, pull the wires through the holes with the strings I had installed earlier, then hook up all the connections to the transformer, the power source and plug in to the wall.
It sounded harder than it was, but got those in this past weekend.
The only thing left to do now is install the glass shelves in the end, corner unit and the crown moulding. Already have the glass shelves cut, just need to decide on the hardware to hold the glass shelves.

Doors fit now!!!
A week ago, I tried to install the doors on the entertainment center. All went well except the bottom four doors on the left side. They were too big. I put a bead trim around the outside edges of the door, so I could not trim them down.
This past week, I built four new doors. I did not sand and oil them yet until I was sure they fit. Well on Saturday, I installed the four new doors and Ta Da!! They fit. This week I have sanded and oiled the doors and should be able to get them installed.
Only a few things left to do on the EC. Need to install the lights in the top shelf areas of the entertainment center, install the handles for the doors and the crown moulding at the top. Woo hoo!! The end is in sight!!
